    Nevermind the IQ, for the price you can't get any other lens that gives sufficient wide angle with zoom close-ups. A good lens to practice shooting on until you find the area you want to specialize in, then you spill your blood onto that next costly lens purchase.

    A lot of people will feel that this lense is not good compare with the 18-200mm VR 3.5-5.6. Yes. no doubt if you compare with that it is worse. A suggestion to newbie if you get your kit lense learn with it. It can do a lot of things. Only buy some lense when it cannot serve what you want to do. Overall it is a good starter.
